Sept-Rivières MRC

Mission

Sept-Rivières partners collaborate and implement a variety of means to promote social development by acting on social determinants, with the goal of improving quality of life.

Vision

The Table’s work makes it possible to develop new practices, innovate, and maximize available levers in order to contribute to sustainable transformations. Partners act together and in a complementary manner through intersectoral consultation and networking.

Values

Respect

Respect is the consideration that members of the Table accord to the organizations and partners involved in social development.

Benevolence

The Table promotes benevolence as a concrete attitude aimed at the well-being of and openness toward others.

Solidarity

Solidarity, a social duty of collaboration, is the voluntary commitment to join forces and act in the general interest of the group.

Consistency

Consistency is the close relationship between ideas and actions. The Table takes the actions of others into account and attempts to develop, in cohesion, complementary or joint actions to strengthen impacts.

Priority Issues and Themes Addressed

For its first strategic plan (2021-2025), the Table prioritized 5 social issues on which it wishes to act collectively:

• Food security
• Educational success for youth
• Adult literacy
• Positive mental health and social support network
• Equity, diversity, inclusion, and poverty

A strategic planning process is underway. The prioritized issues will therefore be adjusted based on current and emerging needs.

Approach

It comes to life through the involvement of partners, collective work, and strong links between partners, organizations, and consultations. It is also fueled by citizen participation, which is essential for building actions that truly meet the needs of the community.
