Social development is…
A set of processes and contributions from a variety of actors aimed at improving living conditions and developing living environments and the potential of individuals and communities.
Our History
2016
In a context where regional structures and funding were disappearing, a unique collaborative body emerged to bring together actors already active in social development on the North Shore and align their actions with existing programs.
2017
February 9, 2017 – La Table Santé Qualité de vie de la Côte-Nord (TSQvie-09) is officially formed, with government departments and agencies belonging and community action groups as primary allies.
2017-2019
Years of structural work led to an initial agreement between the six RCMs and civil society actors, centered on two priority areas: healthy lifestyles and social and community development.
2019-2023
First agreement with the FLAC to support the creation of territorial mobilization in each of the region’s RCMs and to identify territorial and regional action priorities.
2023-2028
A five-year funding agreement with the FLAC is negotiated. The process continues with the development of a shared vision for the North Shore, the strengthening of the territorial coordination network, the implementation of sustainable actions against poverty and under-education, and access to expertise, tools, support, and networking.
2025
Major gathering of partners under the theme: Building a united North Shore. This milestone event was an opportunity to unveil the new visual identity, including a renewed name and logo. This work marks a key step toward a more clearly defined vision and an even more structured approach.
