Mission
The North Shore MRC Assembly’s mission is to bring together the six regional county municipalities of North Shore to foster political and technical collaboration on common regional issues, to promote and defend the interests of Côte-Nord residents with governments and partners, and to support the sustainable development of the territory, particularly in terms of economic development, environment, infrastructure, demography, and immigration.
Vision
The North Shore MRC Assembly aims to be a recognized and influential regional body, capable of speaking with one voice on behalf of the six MRCs, in order to build an attractive, accessible, and supportive North Shore, where communities are dynamic, resilient, and able to welcome and retain the population and workforce they need.

Services offered
- Bring together the six North Shore MRCs (Caniapiscau, Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent, Haute-Côte-Nord, Manicouagan, Minganie, and Sept-Rivières) within a single political consultation table
- Hold regular meetings between prefects and deputy prefects to discuss regional issues and adopt common positions
- Undertake political initiatives and representations to provincial and federal governments on issues such as transportation, accessibility, economic development, labor shortages, immigration, and community vitality
- Coordinate or support regional agreements and projects, particularly in connection with regional development and government funds allocated to the North Shore
- Publicly communicate regional positions through resolutions, press releases, and briefs submitted to various bodies
